Tree Planting Campaign Expands in Birmingham

Residents across Birmingham have joined a new community campaign aimed at planting thousands of trees in local parks and neighbourhood streets. The project is supported by local schools, environmental volunteers and council workers who hope to improve air quality and increase green spaces across the city. Community organisers say the tree-planting initiative will continue through the spring with several public planting events planned.
